Receive Your Template

Your template comes fully installed just like the demo site and will be ready for you to begin customizing. The only difference between the demo site and what you receive is that we have replaced the stock images with placeholder graphics.

Accepting the Contributor’s Invitation

Within 24 hours of your purchase, you will receive an email from Squarespace inviting you as a contributor on a new Squarespace site. Click the link in the email to accept the invite. If you haven’t received the email, be sure to check your spam folders to make sure it didn’t get lost there. You can also reach out to us via our contact page. Once you have accepted the contributor’s invitation, we will go into your site and officially transfer ownership over to you.

Connecting the Template to Your Account

After clicking the Accept Invitation button in the email, you will be directed to log in to your existing Squarespace account if you have one or create a new one to get started. Once you log in or create your new account, your template will be added to your Squarespace dashboard as a new website and you can begin to edit the site.

180-Day Free Trial

Once you accept the contributor’s invitation and connect the template to your Squarespace account, you will have 180 days to edit the website on a free trial before you will need to subscribe to a paid plan. The standard Squarespace free trial period is 14 days, but you will receive 180 days because you purchased your template through Station Seven and we are Squarespace Circle members. Keep in mind that the free trial only applies to websites that are set to Password Protected or Private. Once you are ready to officially launch your website, you will subscribe to a paid plan and then change the site visibility to Public.

Like the Existing Site Styles? Skip Ahead to Adding Your Content

The next unit – Edit Styles – walks you through the different steps to change the styles on the site including the fonts, colors, buttons, forms, and custom CSS. However, if you don’t have your own brand fonts and colors and intend to use the existing styles on the template, simply skip ahead to the Add Your Content section to begin to add your logo, photos, and copy.
