Tell us about yourself!

My name is Rachida Kankpe-Kombath. I currently work as a cybersecurity analyst as my full-time job. I am also the owner of a blog called Chidaries. This is a space where I share my love for fashion, faith, food, and travel. More importantly, I want to help other young women find their voices, build confidence, and pursue their passion. Through my journey of self-confidence, self-discovery and self- love, I want to show other young ladies that you own the power to live your life in the best way possible. Lastly, I want to inspire other Togolese women to achieve great things, and use their voice for good.

How did you get started with your business?

I originally own a beauty brand called Zaraha Cosmetics, because I'e always been passionate about empowering other women. I wanted to use my products and my platform to make women feel empowered and beautiful. After I started my graduate studies, I did not have much time to devote to the business. However, I was still looking for an outlet to empower women, share my journey, and my passions. I thought blogging would offer me that possibility and I started blogging in July 2018.

What’s one of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

Self-doubt is one of the biggest challenges I've faced because it kills my creativity.

What would you say has been one of your biggest “wins”?

One of my biggest wins was finding my own voice, and building my own confidence. One of the biggest benefits of putting yourself out there is that as you uplift others, you're also uplifted.

Did you have any help building your website or did you do it yourself?

I enlisted the help of a web designer/developer friend. I've also gotten help by the the provider. Thank you Station Seven team.

Any advice for others looking to start out?

Trust in yourself. There are a lot of content creators out there who are doing amazing things, however your uniqueness is also needed.

Is there anything else about your story you'd like to share?

Start right where you are and with the tools you have. Build as you go, and don't stop!

Lastly - where can we find you on social media?
