Add Favicon
A favicon (also known as a browser icon) is the image that appears in the browser tab to the left of your site title. Though small, your favicon is an important branding element because it makes it easy for a user to identify your site when he or she has multiple tabs open. If you don’t add a favicon, Squarespace uses a cube favicon as the default.
To add a favicon to your site, click the gear settings icon from the Home menu and click Favicon under the Website tab.
Click Add a favicon and then click Upload File to add an image from a file on your computer or Select From Library to use a file that is already in your Squarespace asset library. (Make sure you use a PNG file between 100 px × 100 px and 300 px × 300 px. Favicons should also be simple graphics that will be clear at smallest sizes.)
Click Save to save the changes you have made to the favicon.
