There are a number of plugins, extensions, and tools that you can supplement with this guide to help you through the buildout of your website. We have compiled our favorites, all of which we use in some capacity when we are designing and building Squarespace websites. Plugins & Extensions
Schwartz-Edmisten Web Design – Chris Schwartz-Edmisten is a Squarespace expert who offers tons of free “Squarespace Tips & Tricks” tutorials as well as one-on-one coding services and Squarespace plugins.
Spark Plugin – Spark Plugin is code-free plugin that enables users to personalize their Squarespace site without any coding. It provides over 100 customizations for elements like buttons, images, text, lines, galleries, and videos. The plugin is built to be compatible with Squarespace updates and functions across all major web browsers.
SEOSpace – SEOSpace’s all-in-one Squarespace plugin makes SEO fun and easy. It’s a straightforward tool for enhancing your online visibility, whether you're targeting e-commerce, local SEO, or a global audience. SEOSpace claims users can “experience up to 68% increase in organic traffic within two months, without the jargon or complicated SEO work.”
Squarespace ID Finder – If you want to start playing around with custom CSS, the Squarespace ID Finder Chrome Extension is a must have. With CSS, you often need to identify a specific block or section ID so you can target that element. This extension makes it quick and easy, so you don’t have to sort through the code using the Google Chrome Inspect Tool.
Squarewebsites Plugins – Our two favorite Squarewebsite plugins are the Chrome Extension and the Universal Filter. These and their other plugins help you to customize your website beyond what Squarespace will allow.
