Collaborating with Molly at Glover Street Market was an inspiring project that allowed us to blend the rich history of a beloved local health food store with the modern demands of today’s digital landscape. Molly approached us with a clear vision: she wanted a fresh look for her website that would better inform customers about what Glover Street Market offers while driving them to their new ecommerce platform, WebCart, which seamlessly integrates with their in-store POS system.
Molly’s vision was not just about aesthetics; it was about creating a site that could effectively communicate the full scope of what Glover Street Market provides to the community. We began by refocusing the website’s structure, prioritizing information about the store’s offerings and making it easy for customers to explore and purchase products online. The integration of WebCart was a key component, allowing the store to expand its reach beyond its physical location and offering customers the convenience of shopping from home.
A significant part of the project involved expanding the About/Story page to showcase the rich history of Glover Street Market. Molly wanted to share the journey of the market, from its modest beginnings to its growth under her and her husband’s ownership over the past 15 years. We worked closely with her to craft a narrative that not only honored the store’s roots but also highlighted its evolution and commitment to providing healthy, high-quality products to the community.
Visually, Molly envisioned a site filled with vibrant, full-banner images, carousels, and galleries that would showcase the colorful and diverse health foods available at Glover Street Market. We delivered on this by incorporating dynamic visuals that captured the essence of the market’s offerings, from fresh produce to specialty items. The design was crafted to be visually engaging, drawing visitors in and encouraging them to explore the wide range of products available.
To further enhance the site’s functionality, we added several forms, including those for employment, contact, and catering inquiries. These forms were designed to streamline communication and make it easier for customers to connect with the market, whether they were interested in joining the team, seeking information, or placing a catering order.
Finally, we built out dedicated pages to highlight the in-store dining options, juice and smoothie offerings, and catering services available at Glover Street Market. These pages were designed to be informative and visually appealing, providing customers with all the details they need to enjoy what the market has to offer.
The new website for Glover Street Market is a true reflection of Molly’s vision—a vibrant, informative, and user-friendly platform that honors the store’s history while embracing the future. It provides a seamless shopping experience, both in-store and online, and serves as a valuable resource for the community, highlighting the diverse and healthy options available at this local staple.
